Muscoril 4 mg
Characteristics
Description
Muscoril is a muscle relaxant bundled with anti-inflammatory and analgesic properties. It is used for treating muscular spasms, and rheumatologic, orthopedic, and traumatologic disorders. Thiocolchicoside is the active ingredient in Muscoril.
However, Muscoril do not take the place of rest, exercise or physical therapy. Muscoril is effective in the management of non-specific low back pain, but the adverse effects require that it be used with caution.
Muscoril is advised to be taken as 8 mg on day one. It can be increased slowly up to 12 to 16 mg daily. If you miss a dose of Muscoril and remember within an hour or so of the missed dose, take it right away. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, then skip the missed dose and go back to your regular dosing schedule. Do not double the doses unless otherwise directed.
Keep out of the reach of children. Overdose of aspirin is especially dangerous in young children. Store away from heat and direct light.
Muscoril may also cause certain side effects like dizziness, upset stomach, vomiting, itchy feeling in the arms, legs, hands, and feet, dry mouth or increased muscle spasms. However, some may be serious and may require the individual to inform the doctor or visit the nearest hospital immediately.
Muscoril may not be very useful for cramps due to other more physiological reasons. If you take it for these reasons, you may feel dizzy or drowsy, or suffer blurred vision.
