Tenoric 50 mg / 12.5 mg
Characteristics
Description
Tenoric is prescribed to treat hypertension (high blood pressure). By reducing high blood pressure it helps to prevent heart attacks, strokes, and even issues in the kidneys which are all an associated risk of high blood pressure. Chlorthalidone, on the other hand, is a diuretic which causes the body to pass excess liquid and salt, allowing the blood vessels to relax and blood to flow more easily.
Correct dosage is largely dependent on the individual patient being treated and the severity of hypertension being treated. Tenoric are taken orally and washed down with a full glass of water. It can be taken with or without food, however patients should not dose during later than the afternoon, so the diuretic function does not prevent you from sleeping by needing to visit the bathroom.
Tenoric is usually well tolerated, however side effects can occur. Notify your physician of all side effects which you notice. Side effects reported by patients taking this medication include: headaches, constipation, dizziness, diredness, loss of libido, dry eyes. loss of appetite
Tenoric may not be suitable for all patients. Before you begin using Tenoric, inform your physician of any other existing medical conditions or diseases you suffer from (especially any conditions related to your heart, kidney, liver, thyroid, or if you have diabetes).
