Description
Clincitop Gel (Clindamycin) is prescribed to prevent further growth of bacterial infections. It belongs to the family of Lyncomycin antibiotics, and works in slowing down bacteria or preventing the growth of bacteria. This topical medication is effective in the treatment of acne. It can decrease acne lesions in users.
Apply as instructed by your physician. You will usually notice the effects of the medication within 6 weeks of use, and the full effects after a period of 12 weeks. Wash your hands using soap before and after applying the gel.
Clincitop Gel side effects include burning sensation on the skin, dry or oily skin, itchy skin, skin redness, and headaches. If any of these start to worsen or become worrying, inform your physician. More serious effects include stomach cramps, loose and sometimes bloody stools, and diarrhea. You should inform your physician immediately if you notice any of these adverse effects.
Clincitop Gel is for external use only. Do not apply close to your eyes, nose, mouth, or any sunburnt or broken skin. Rinse immediately with cool water if the gel comes into contact with any of these parts of the body.
